In 1938, Lee Byung-chul (1910– 1987) of an extensive landowning family in the Uiryeong area moved to close-by Daegu city and established Samsung Sanghoe (삼성상회, 三星商會). Samsung began as a little exchanging organization with forty representatives situated in Su-dong (now Ingyo-dong).[17] It managed in dried-fish,[17] privately developed basic supplies and noodles. The organization flourished and Lee moved its go to Seoul in 1947. At the point when the Korean War broke out, he was compelled to leave Seoul. He began a sugar refinery in Busan named Cheil Jedang. Samsung expanded into a wide range of regions. Lee looked to build up Samsung as pioneer in an extensive variety of ventures. Samsung moved into lines of business, for example, protection, securities and retail.
In 1947, Cho Hong-jai, the Hyosung gathering's originator, together put resources into another organization called Samsung Mulsan Gongsa, or the Samsung Trading Corporation, with the Samsung's organizer Lee Byung-chull.
